I wasn't able to install on Firefox on Linux, I kept getting "unexpected error -2" When I ran Firefox again from a shell, I saw the following error: "*** ExtensionManager:_updateManifests: no access privileges to application directory, skipping." So I attempted to run from an account with access to the app dir. It worked. Looks like a good tool, but have not tested further. However, you can install XULConsole for Mozilla last release without any problem and launch it from the console to have any output directed to it. You have to manually remove the directory of the extension from the chrome directory and clear the lines for this extension in the installed-chrome.txt file located in the chrome directory.
