[Xhtmlmp] -wap-input-format for alphabets

hi all,
To allow only numeric values in the input text field ,
i found that style -wap-input-format: "*N" works fine.
similarly, to allow alphabets only what is the css
style  format will be followed.i tried
-wap-input-format: "*A*a" but no use it does not work
any help would be appreciated.
