Hmm, see things in an optimistic way: it seems rather easy to fix, and
it's probably the last burden with SeaMonkey (unless Murphy laws...;)

Little brother is watching you :)

Yes.

Just FYI, I tested a little bit under Ubuntu GNU/Linux:

Firefox, freshly installed: the first time wmlbrowser icon is added, it
doesn't display its state. When I close and relaunch Firefox, then
wmlbrowser off setting is displayed. Further testing: it seems to behave
this way each time the button is added onto the toolbar. (I verified
with the site I mention below, and indeed, as long as the setting is not
explicitly "on", Firefox receives html files, not wml).

SeaMonkey, freshly installed: "display wmlbrowser icon" box is not
checked, but the icon is displayed (as wmlbrowser off). The problem is
that whether I check or not this box, it's impossible to remove the icon
from SeaMonkey (did I ever talk about Murphy's law ?)

Two final remarks: would it be possible to change

In fact, replacing "Les utilisateur" by "Les utilisateurs", I stupidly
forgot the plural...

Finally, a website sending wml (really wml) instead of html depending on
the Accept-header, in case it could be useful for something:
