The first problem I had is that the SMTP and POP ports didn't start and displayed error. I changed the ports to 8011 (POP) and 8025 (SMTP) and stats now shows green. I created my Webmail account in TB: POP Server Name: localhost Port: 8011 User Name: user@yahoo.com I get the error ""Alert - Sending of password did not succees. Mail server localhost responded: negative vibes from user@yahoo.com" What am I doing wrong? Use all the standard settings and it just works! Then you download the Webmail extension and Webmail Yahoo. Download them by saving to hard drive or using a download manager, DON'T JUST OPEN IT AS YOU WOULD WITH A FIREFOX EXTENSION. Save both of them to a place where you can find them. Then open Thunderbird. Go on Tools, Extensions, Install, then find the Webmail extension, and repeat for Yahoo. Exit Thunderbird and open it up again, then follow the instructions in the "Setting up an Account" section on the Webmail website (I think I got that right). I hope this helps. ;) Kate Schnack wrote: > Someone, > Please give me step by step instructions on how to make my > Thunderbird my default email for my Yahoo mail. I am not very tech > savy. You also need to download Webmail Yahoo. I get the same thing when using Hotmail in Thunderbird, but it worked fine the first week or so. I used a different Hotmail address and it worked for a week, then said I got negative vibes. Brian Erdelyi wrote: > My Yahoo!
