Thank you to everyone who has offered kind words and support over that last week. But now, it is time to get down to business. The coding for WaiZilla is now well underway. Without any major hitches, I plan to have a beta of the first release available in approximately 4 weeks. The list members will be given information about how to sign up for beta testing before any other forums and interested parties are informed. The beta will pave the way for the following planned features * WCAG A, AA or AAA testing. * Full Integration with Moz and Firebird. * Direct testing of the currently loaded document. Future versions will include: * Reports that can be saved and shared in EARL. * Section 508 Testing. * Documentation of the application. * Documentation of WCAG and Section 508 linked to test results. * Standalone capability. Even more adventurous future versions may include. * Testing of multiple documents. * A WaiZilla Approved branding scheme (relies on credibility). * A serious challenge to commercial solutions. I am currently looking for folks who know anything about using EARL for reporting. This is slowing the project down and for the beta I may use an interim XML based reporting solution. I would also liek to see discussions here about how you would like to see error reports displayed and any other features that you feel should be considered for the future of WaiZilla. XML would be nice but CSV files would be just as useful to see how the engine works. 1. Document where the error occurs 2. Line number 3. brief description to the problem with a link to extended information about the problem STuart - I would also liek to see discussions here about how you would like to see error reports displayed and any other features that you feel should be considered for the future of WaiZilla.
