Hm. Typing "addengine" at the goosh prompt for me just gives me the 
prompt again with the word "addengine" on it (and it doesn't get added 
to the search engines).

Maybe it's an FF on OS/X thing.

Examining goosh's JavaScript, it looks like the equivalent thing is to use:

      http://goosh.org/?q={searchTerms}

where {searchTerms} can be replaced with %s in a bookmark.
