[Vimperator] help with resetting my firefox

Hello,

I started trying vimperator about 3 days back and everything was going
well until I restarted my firefox. When firefox came back up, my
session was restored, I believe by vimperator. Though I have session
saver plugin installed, it doesn't restart the session without
prompting me at the startup and I didn't receive a prompt. Now the
problem is that ever since I restarted firefox, I got this hanging
block of empty space below the status bar and it is ugly and wasting
space and whatever I do I can't get rid of it. I tried disabling both
vimperator and session saver and restarting firefox and still it is
hanging in there. Here are a couple of snapshots to show you what I am
talking about. I don't want to start with a clean profile (as it will
take me quite some time to set it up the way I want it and I have no
backup). I would appreciate any help in identifying the setting that
must have got changed for this happen and reset it.

(there is a red circumflex(^) towards the bottom left corner):
