Just deleted the "...\Application Data\mozilla\Firefox"-folder (which seemed to contain the profile), rebooted, and reinstalled Firefox and Vimperator, but still no sign of the engine. You're right, it should work, if I were able to completely remove Firefox, but I can't think of how (apart from reinstalling Windows).
