Theroretically C-[ should work in most cases, but as i don't use it, and
especially since my keyboard layout has a strange postion of the [
character, it's hard to test, i might take a look into it later, but
it's sure not a high priority.

Works in the development version for Firefox3, there the key is 'i' to
get the cursor, and 'v' in this mode to select text (with hjkl, etc.).

Also, basic support for that is in the dev version, and also a ctrl-i
key to edit the current text field with an external editor.
