[Vimperator] request statusbar / q regex / possible bug: 'all extensions incompatible'

Hi,

1) status / feature request: regex searches

at first I thought it's a late april fool's joke. Then
I started to be interested. Then I found THAT REGEX searches
of page content are NOT POSSIBLE. The single most important
feature of ex/ed/vi for 3 decades. And it's not available
for the text to be processed. Looking at the mailinglist's
birth in April, my fears were confirmed: vi without regex
was indeed a joke.

Anyway: is there a chance to implement REGEX searches?
vimperator does include regex, javascript does implement
them AFAIR, Nigel posted something on replacing the quickfind?
Scriptability in the next vimperator, javascript execution
and XUL/extension-javascript scraps being able to see/modify
page contents(?) - it looks like it should be possible.

Is there already some workaround via JS to do it?

Thanx for feedback on this issue

2) feature request:

as I'm using noscript, I'd REALLY NEED to have the status
bar and it's messages visible. Is it possible to change
vimperator's statusbar to be displayed in the standard
status bar (hopefully with col/% rightmost)?

[And I'm makeing a confession: guioptions=ms! I need
my statusbar; and as I relocated URL field, search field
and reload/history / secure login buttons to the menu
bar, I've to confess: I'm also depending on the menu
bar being visible]

3) possible bug: any additional new extension becoming incompatible

(but I changed some things, so IT MIGHT not
be vimperator; so backerburner until additional sightings]:

vimperator active.
install of multiple plugins

-> those plugins were suddenly claimed to be incompatible
    with ffox.

disable vimperator, uninstall, track down the last tabmix
plus session manager bug (poisoned .rdf data read and written
in each session :( ).

reinstall; no probs anymore.

to be done: reenable vimperator :)

Peter
