Hello,

I can't provide an answer for everything, but:

never heard of that, vimperator is for using Firefox with the
keyboard, a toolbar would be counter intuitive, no?

You can do that in Vimperator too. Just type
:open goo<tab>
and you'll see.
Vimperator uses the search engines registered with Firefox (not the
bookmark keywords) for that. So just register the wikipedia search
engine, the dictionary you like, etc... into firefox, and you'll have
access to them.

that it will visit it without me pressing return? That would be on key
less pressed.

if you use the ';' to get to the extended hints then you can do more
than open the link (like yank it, open in a tab, etc...), see:
:help ;
If you just want to open the link, type 'f' to get the quick hints,
then if you type the letter, you'll directly open the link without
having to use the return key.
