maybe checking in map anywhere below, and if it is a mapping,
remove it from the marco-record-var.

hm.

About the hardcoded 'q'. I'm actually still it calles the @ map
itself with the ARGUMENT flag, so I guess I first would need to go
there.

that's actually a point where a debugger could come handy... grr

there is one for ffox I think, need to check out..
