This field in the adress card is provided by this TB extension called SOGo Connector: http://www.scalableogo.org/downloads/frontends.html This would be very useful together with Lightning to extent Thunderbird to a full groupware. If the Free/Busy Url is available, this information is available for the creation of new appointment from each member by simply having this member in the TB adress book. Message-ID: <200903100954.28173.lists@mhcsoftware.de> Hi, I've tried to use synckolab in a multiuser environment with personal groupware folders and Kolab shared folders for group contacts, calender and todo's. With every sync I get the message: No items have been found locally, but there are items on the server. Do you want to copy all items from the server ? When I sync manually I can see the what synckolab is doing an I see multiple entries with id = "nicht lesbar", status = "lese", content = "unbekannt". It's planed that callenders of some useres should also be shared to others. Now I fear that this may cause even more trouble ... Yesterday sykolab deleted all entries in the callender in the shared folder. I use KDE Kontact for years with Kolab with out any problem. What's wrong with synckolab ? What am I doing wrong ? I only try to do things I'm used to do with KDE Kontact. Pleas help ! I have KMail setup in disconnected mode with Groupware mode enabled using Kolab2 (XML) settings. I setup a Akonadi Address book in Kubuntu with a "Address Book Via Kmail" source but it does not recognise any of the addresses in the contacts folder, though it does pick up the folder itself The interesting part is if I setup a older "Address book via Kmail" resource (not Akonadi) it works fine. I guess Akonadi is tripping up on some field. I've reported them here and at KDE about a year ago. Problem persists as you can sett. I think it's a KDE problem as the same things happen when you try to use the Tolltec Outook connector along with KDE apps. Every is fine as long as I take some care when adding events. A couple of days ago I started to stress the plugin, running it at the same time from the two different accounts, and making them update every only 1 minute. The result has been los events in the calendar, and frequent messages saying that it failed to modify the calendar. So, is sync kolab thought as a tool for two or more people to share a calendar, both read/write? Is it only for personal calendars? I'm testing another scenario now: only one account can read and write, the other can only read. It's working pretty well, although Lightning will happily let me write in my calendar (unchecked the "sync with IMAP" checkbox in sync kolab). Any thoughts? TIA -- Diego. Hi Diego, synckolab should be a tool for calendar sharing with read/write (+address book). unforunately there are still problems with lightning (sometimes the lighting database doesnt really notice a change when writing to it - then you need to restart thunderbird). and even more unfortunate, i was unable to reproduce this effect (alough I have seen it) until now. until I can, i am unable to find a way to fix it (I think it should be a fix in the lightning code doh. but even these guys need a way to verify the bug) About the "sync with imap" checkbox not working how it should be. please open a bug request on bugzilla for this.
