From january at uni-muenster.de Tue Jul 22 03:23:00 2008 From: january at uni-muenster.de (January Weiner) Date: Tue, 22 Jul 2008 12:23:00 +0200 Subject: [Sage] Sage update lost all my feeds! Message-ID: <454237550807220323v4e67d422k7975314d623ac28f@mail.gmail.com> I just had an update; first firefox was updated by my Debian system to version 3.0, then, at firefox start, I was prompted to do a Sage update. Only to find that Sage just quietly removed all my 150+ feeds that I had; I'm left with "BBC News", "Yahoo" and "Sage Project News". No warning, nothing. I don't know whether it is Sage's fault, whether the feeds can be restored or not. It is most annoying. I'm having a problem with the way certain feeds are displayed. I am subscribed to a couple of fiction press feeds, and they do not display properly if I check 'Allow HTML Tags'. If I uncheck this option, it displays fine..very neat and orderly listing with the Author, Category, etc. and a divider line with story synopsis underneath. However, if I use this setting, then I lose all my images and links in other types of feeds. So far, I've been switching back and forth between settings, depending on the feed I'm reading. Is there a workaround for this so I can have my cake and eat it too? Or do I have to continue doing what I've been doing? Have a look through your bookmarks you should find your old feeds. You can then point sage to the old folder, there is a option is Sage's settings for this.
