Cripes. This is how Sage works. If you want it to look different from the default, that's what the CSS customization is for. WAY better and WAY more powerful than drowning the user in options. If you want to be drowned in options, then Sage is not the RSS reader for you.
It's meant to be an extension. Extensions are meant to be simple.
(And no matter what you say, 99% of the world does not browse full-screen.)
