[Sage] Managing feeds

Hi,
First some terminology. What are the items in the list in the Sage upper
sidebar window called? Are these "feeds"?
Then what are the items in the lower Sage sidebar window called that
show the headings of each individual story/blog?

As you click on items in the upper window, the headings within that
"feed?" are shown in the lower window. Can you create your own custom
feed? I would like to for example create a heading in the upper window
called say "weather", and then be able to add individual "stories/blogs"
to it. Thus when I click on "weather" in the upper window, the headings
below would be a collection of "stories/blogs" that I have assembled. Is
this possible, or is the breakdown of a feed decided by the "feeder" and
unchangeable?
