[Sage] Marking Feeds as Read is Very Slow

Over the last few days I have been using sage, and in general I like it, but I
have an annoying problem. When marking feed items as "read" with the little
icon above the feed list, it is taking longer and longer. In the beginning it
was instantaneous, and now it takes 30 sec (and 100% of CPU time), which seems
completely out of line. Any ideas? Thanks!
