[Sage] bookmarks and sage feeds mixed up

I am thoroughly non-tech savvy - I've been using Firefox and Sage - one day,
for reasons unknown to me, my bookmarks ll disappeared and my sage feeds
were non-existent.  I read some fixes, but was unable to figure out how to
fix my problem (not tech savvy, remember?)

I deleted and then reinstalled sage, imported bookmarks from IE (best I
could do but many were only in Firefox).
Now, when I drag a URL to the bookmark toolbar, it also appears in my Sage
window...visa versa, if I add a feed, it appears on my bookmark
toolbar....deleting either deletes both.

Can someone explain in idiot-proof language, how I can resolve this dilemma?
I use Windows XP
