Thanks for the pics. They weren't very helpful for
this theme, but now I have some new ideas for the next
one. :)

I have also fixed the background as you have
suggested, and picked a slightly lighter shade of gray
(silver) for the visited links. The color of the
pubDate has also changed.

As for the "shiny" thingy - I'm guessing that's just
an optical illusion, but that's really kinda cool.
It's the reason why I've now fixed the background,
opting for coolness than performance. ;)
