Dylan, yes, automatic updating of feeds is probably at the top of our  
wish list at the moment.  It won't make the 1.4 release, but the one  
following it will almost certainly contain this feature.  There's  
already been quite a bit of discussion on this topic, it would be  
great if you could attach your patch and add any thoughts:
