[Sage] Unread before read?

When I click on a feed, there may be only a couple of unread 
articles, mixed in with articles that have already been read.  The 
unread articles don't necessarily appear at the top of the list, they 
may be far down the list.  Any way to ensure that unread articles 
always appear at the top?

Also, there are lots of times when the feed is highlighted, 
indicating there are unread articles, but there actually are no 
unread articles in the list.  Any idea how to stop this?
