You are right ... v1.3.6 did opened that link in a tab
AND a new window at the same time. You should file it
at http://bugzilla.mozdev.org/ . I took a quick look
(and some poking around) at how v1.3.6 interprets the
click, even though it wasn't pretty, the problem may
not be in Sage but in Firefox.

I am using 1.3.6, the original version. I have unchecked the option to render feeds in content area. I have also set up Firefox 1.5.0.2 with Tab Mix Plus to force links that would normally open a new window to open a tab instead ... ditto for pop-ups.

I don't recall when this behavior first started, but it's identical on two different PCs. I am using the latest FF 1.5.0.2 on both machines. I believe it began when Sage was first updated to work with FF 1.5.

If I click on one of the actual feeds it will render properly, in the tab with the current focus. If I click on the RSS feed title it opens a new instance of FF, as I described, and both the new FF window and the current focused tab in the original window display the same URL (the "home" of the RSS feed but not the RSS code; in other words, I'll get http://www.nytimes.com if I click on the title for the NY Times home page feed, which is http://www.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/nyt/HomePage.xml ).
