[Sage] Feature Request: News Notification

Hi, Sage

I have been a long time Sage user and I love it very much. It is so convenient
and neat...however, such pros eventually leads me to RSS addicted. I keep
clicking on the Sage icon in Firefox frequently and read through each feed one
by one everyday, and soon I realize I have wasted too much time.

So I'd like to request a feature that can make me get rid of
keep-checking-for-news-every-minute. Is it possible to implement a mechanism
that automatically checks the feeds and notify me the news? If possible, can it
notify in a fade-in-and-out tooltip at some corner, instead of pop up a dialog?

Hope I am not the only one need this feature. Thanks a lot!
