From sinus-revery at sinpi.net Fri Aug 8 13:19:30 2008 From: sinus-revery at sinpi.net (Sinus Pi) Date: Fri, 8 Aug 2008 22:19:30 +0200 Subject: [Reloadevery] Suggestion: disable upon entering a form Message-ID: I'd like to suggest a small but important improvement to ReloadEvery. Can the plugin detect the user entering or typing into a webpage form and temporarily disable reloading, and perhaps only reactivate it after the form gets submitted or the user navigates away from it? I love RE for reloading of busy forum listings, but I've already lost two almost-ready post replies when the "post a reply" pages were reloaded just as I was typing in them :/ Thanks in advance, -- Sinus From richard at rwilson.demon.co.uk Sun Aug 10 08:04:50 2008 From: richard at rwilson.demon.co.uk (Richard Wilson) Date: Sun, 10 Aug 2008 16:04:50 +0100 Subject: [Reloadevery] Remember reload settings? Message-ID: <000801c8fafa$6febee00$0460b150@end81d0d3f3a88> Hello I've been trialing Reloadevery after upgrading to Firefox V3. I find it very useful. I'm running under MS Windows XP Home Just one minor problem that I wonder whether it can be fixed sometime. When I reboot, I very often forget to reset Reloadevery. Can the setting be stored in a file somewhere so that the setting can automatically be reset? I normally select Enable All Tabs, and a time of 15 minutes. I guess things might be more complicated if the user has different tabs set for different times, but even then it wouldn't need much data to store. One thing in Firefox V3 that doesn't seem to work as it did in V2 is the option to start with the previous set of tabs open, if you close Firefox itself. This is from Tool > Options > Main tab, when I select "Show my windows and tabs from last time" in the dropdown list at the top of the Startup box. If you simply close Windows, Firefox V3 will start with the previous set of tabs open next time you start Windows. But if you close Firefox itself, before closing Windows, this doesn't seem to happen any more. However, that's not really your problem. If I restrict things to a simple reboot of Windows, where the tabs in Firefox V3 still open as before, is it possible to get Reloadevery to also start with its previous settings? It seems that this is a old problem. I have a lot of customers who sate that they have the same problem like I have: I develop web pages. When I have made a change on a page I upload the page and then I call the page in firefox. The first time this works fine. Then I made some changes on the page, I copy the result again to the server and I refresh the page .. nothing changes. If I use IE in the same way, the new version of the page is on the screen. I have download reloadevery to see if this fixes the problem Best regards, John -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:
