[Quotecolors] highlighting of keywords

Hello,
I am looking for a feature that I have seen in the mail program some of
my colleagues use at the office.
I would like to have certain keywords highlighted in the messages in the
the message window.
I use Thunderbird's message filters' function to mark messages that
might be important to me, by changing their Label to Personal or
Important if they contain my name or other keywords related to my work.
This makes Thunderbird change the colour of the message in the Message
List window. However, once I open the message, when it is a long
message, it's hard to find that keyword.
So I am looking for an extension that would allow me to enter a bunch of
keywords and it would colour those words in my messages.
I have searched through the Thunderbird extensions list on mozilla.org
and couldn't find such an extension, but Quotecolors seems, at least
implementation-wise, very close so I thought I'd send an e-mail.
I hope someone could point me to such an extension if there is one,
volunteer to make one, or help me develop one. (I have never made a
extension, but I'd like to have this functionality so much that I'm
willing to try.)
Thanks,
Dies Koper
