That's right, when Quote Colors is installed, the quoted text color 
option in Thunderbird's options dialog should have no function since the 
extension will use its own colors (that's the main reason for using QC).
Back to your problem: could you provide more details on which coloring 
does not work? Are you viewing plain text or HTML messages? Which 
color(s) are shown instead?
