This is the evil way? Is there also a nice way? (besides asking the 
other extension's author to add the id)

The overlay section already starts by adding my own script. Is there any 
place special where I should add this id to ensure the popupmenu has the 
right id (if it's there) before the rest of the XUL is parsed?
