Trimming it down to a simple case is good (but not good that it still
doesn't work!) I'd start with a working example from a tutorial, and slowly
"morph" it into your 6 lines of code until it breaks. If that doesn't throw
any light, post your 6 lines (and the xul overlay that invokes it).
