[Project_owners] test install of extension on Macintosh and Linux

And of course if you want to find a Linux user, you might can check the
forums that Linux has up.
Though, you may need to check to see if it's compatible with Ubuntu, Red
Hat, Yellow Dog, and ect.
I'm not sure if that effects the code you're working on, just a suggestion.
