[Project_owners] How would you fund a new project?

To get to a production quality level usually takes years and substantial
investment. However, if you have a serious plan with a clear roadmap,
you simply need to document that. Investors may or may not pick up on
it, based on the real merits of the idea. Where are you based? The
USA? There investors are mainly interested in the intellectual
property, so expect to have to sign that over.
Media relations are complex. You need to analyze your product carefully
and find its unique selling point. Then you need to address a way of
selling that point to the media and therefore the public.
For example, all of this has taken Mozilla five years.
