No in short.
pserver uses a different password file, at least should. As those 
passwords are sent unencrypted. Plus, the cvs account doesn't need to 
match a user account on the machine. The rsh-access on the other hand 
uses the system accounts. That is (unless you trick pam) the same for 
ssh or rsh.
