[Padma] Automatic transliteration

Sankar,
Padma doesn't support automatic transliteration. You have to do it manually.

You can try IndicIME <http://indicime.mozdev.org/> extension which
does same thing you have requested. But it supports very limited
number of keyboard layouts.
