[Optimoz] MozGest and near death experiences

Hi,

MozGest has two serious problems!
First: the lack of developers.
Second: the overly complicated code base.

We can not attract any new coders if this code base remains and
without new coders we are not able to clean up the code. Problems...

I've filed http://bugzilla.mozdev.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15241 for
brainstorming.

Today I've started a new branch only for "toolkit-apps" just to make
clear that I want to code on MozGest.

As far as I can see, I'm the only active developer. And I don't want
to waste my time to keep compatibility with everything. It makes no
sense to be compatible with Gecko 1.7... (...)
