Helllo.
What are the changes in the zoom gestures for?
First of all, I cannot understand why "1" no longer resets the zoom in
the browser (it is now "131"). After all, it is the way it is done
when viewing the source, so for the sake of consistency they should be
the same. Maybe it has to do with getting it closer to the "Zoom in"
and "Zoom out" gestures. However, "Reset zoom" really acts as "Reset
zoom / Restore image", so it would be more sensible to keep it near
"Zoom in / Double image" and "Zoom out / Halve image size".
By installing in a new profile, I have just seen that the "Reset zoom"
installs at "1", so the previous rant should be put into perspective:
there seems to be a bug when updating from 1.4 to 1.4.120060105
regarding gesture assignment (except I might have inadvertedly
triggered some remapping function...).
My second concern regards the following: what is the need of the "Zoom
in" and "Zoom out" gestures ("31" and "13" respectively) when the more
generic Zoom in / Double image" and "Zoom out / Halve image size" are
available? If such a function is available, it is normal to have the
possibility to bind it, but I cannot understand why it would be
desirable to have it included by default. Eliminating these gestures
would reduce clutter, making the gestures easier to learn. If they are
to stay, I would place "Zoom out" as "71" or "79" to try and keep some
sort of paralelism with the image-resizing zoom gestures,
Cheers.
