[Optimoz] Changing default preferences

Does anyone know where in mozgest.jar the default preferences for mozgest are stored? When I install the extension globally, it reverts to default settings everytime I create a new profile, i.e. for a new user.  I'd like to make it use default settings, but settings stored in prefs.js just get overwritten with the defaults.  I assume this means that there are defaults in the .jar that may be edited, but I have not been able to find them.
