I disabled & re-baled .. uninstalled & re-installed and still no context menu. So I uninstalled again and loaded up the older version (classic) and got a context menu..but clicking on any engines did nothing, ie no action. Went to uninstall the classic version and theres no needleseach extension listed in my extensions list... any ideas how to extricate myself from all this? I have no idea if NeedleSearch is compatible with Mozilla as opposed to Firefox, perhaps someone else can answer that. I, too, upgraded to a new version of NeedleSearch and in my case i lost the whole toolbar! I had been using the same Firefox profile since early Phoenix days, and at least 3 or 4 versions of NeedleSearch, so i guess a lot of cruft had built up. I backed up the important files in my profile and deleted the whole directory. Then i reinstalled my extensions under a new profile, and NeedleSearch worked fine. This also solved some other general Firefox flakiness that had crept in over the years. It's a rather extreme measure, but if you've been using Mozilla or Firefox through several versions, it might be worth shot. B*B, -Smoke. In former editions of Firefox it was possible to send a selected text via the context menu to a search engine. But the NeedleSearch entries are gone now. A fantastic feature is lost! Is it possible to bring the context menu entries back? Many thanks for your response. I do get these buttons in my old profile, created sometime between Firefox 0.6 and 1.0.
