[Needlesearch] missing toolbar

Hi,

I've been using NeedleSearch for a while now, as it's insanely
useful. I just upgraded from 2.6 to 2.7 and now the NeedleSearch
toolbar won't appear when I press ctrl-F9! I noticed on the mozdev
page that there's now a 2.7.1, so I tried installing that, but still
no luck. I tried to uninstall NeedlesSearch altogether and then
reinstalled 2.7.1 (shutting down and restarting Firefox in between),
but I still don't have my search bar...

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the toolbar back?
Something must be happening when I press ctrl-F9, because every 2nd
press of that combination causes Firefox's display window to lose
focus (pressing space bar to scroll the page, for example, stops
working). If I can't get this working, is there a way of going back to
2.6? I feel lost without my favourite search tool!
