Hello,
first let me say I'm really impressed by Needlesearch. It implements some of
the functionality of Opera I always missed in mozilla and that in a way
that's incredibly easy to setup.
The only thing i still miss is the search functionality I for lack of a
better word could call short search. For those who don't know this, i'll
explain. Several search engines in Opera have a short token assigned to them
(usually one letter, but can be any length). You can enter that token
followed by the search terms to search with that engine, e.g. the token for
Google is 'g', so if I enter 'g mozilla' in the addressbar, Opera will
search for 'mozilla' on Google.
If such a functionality could be added to NeedleSearch it would ease up
working with it quite a bit since you wouldn't need to choose the
Searchengine in the selection box beforehand.
I don't know if its possible to add this feature in the original way (using
the addressbar), but it should be possible to implement it as a special
search item in the NeedleSearch bar.
What do you think about it?
Cheers
Tobias
