[Needlesearch] icons and text

I have firefox 1.0.1 and needlesearch 2.7. For some reason i always get
the needelsearch bar to have both icons and text. Even if i change to
icons only or text only, when i click on any link or open a new window
the icons and text reappear. Am i doing something wrong or is this a
bug?
