[Needlesearch] "Show search results in a new tab" is not working after upgrade to Firefox 1.5

After upgrading to Firefox 1.5, neither the open in New Tab button or
[Ctrl]-[Enter] combination will open search results in a new tab. I am able
to retrieve the search results in the existing tab or in a new window
without any difficulty. I am currently running NeedleSearch 3.0, and have
tried removing and reinstalling the extension without any change in the
functionality.

Any suggestions?
