We've done 2 search plugins (for site&forum ( mattness.pl.googlepages.com/srpl-ff-searchplugin.zip ) and our wiki ( mattness.pl.googlepages.com/wiki-SR.xml ), respectively), but neither passed submission process on mycroft.mozdev.org/submit.html
