I'm trying to answer questions such as:

what if i directly want to search on wikipedia without going through its
home page then typing the query there.. I use a wikipedia search plugin.. i
just type my query in the box in my browser and voila.. m directly at the
results page.. GOod enough functionality for a huge number of users..

B) Why would I (as a web hoster) create

Google only searches web pages. If you have your data in a relational
datbase or something..then you need to provide your own search
functionality.. like amazon or ebay do..
so if you have your own search service.. then mycroft plugin can allow your
users to directly use your search service through the browser..

I look forward to understanding how

there is more to searching than googling
