[Mycroft] action="file:... ?

What's the trick to get searches to work when the desired action is a file (or any other non-http URL)? 

My experience so far is if the action is changed from http: to anything else the search simply becomes a silent noop. Is there some console or log or debug that could give me error information?

Is it possible that the security patch that disabled javascript: URLs as action= inadvertently excluded _everything_ except http:?
