I don't think plugins containing affiliate links should be hosted by
Mycroft. I don't believe anyone should profit when these plugins are used.
Charles, I hope you'll reconsider your position on plugins with affiliate
links.
Thanks,
Doug

You are correct to say that some eBay plugins redirect via other servers -
this is the official eBay affiliate scheme. This has only very minor effects
on speed - the only issue is that a blank search does not go to the correct
place - this is really a code issue as the searchform tag should be used for
blank search. In order to support Mycroft, some plugins do use affiliate
links - I simply couldn't afford to spend as much time working on mycroft
otherwise. You are of course free to modify the plugin as you wish (comment
out the update tags to avoid it being overwritten) but I won't change the
currently hosted plugin.

The present ebay.in plugin present on the site first sends the data to an
alternate site http://www.anrdoezrs.net which then redirects the query to
the ebay.in site. This is unecessary diversion of data, which is not
required, the plugin i submitted metions the direct url to ebay.in and
works, as i have tested it on my machine
