Dear Girard,
I'm new and unfamiliar to this technology but I want to use it for making calls through my web browser. I am using windows XP and have also downloaded mozphone as firefox extension. I also have DSL connection but It doesn't work. What else do I need apart from these and how should I configure it? Does it also need a VOIP line? Please help me out.
Thank you very much,
Adnaan

Configuring an IAX user is quite similar to a SIP user, so that should
be easy.
Here is an example for an IAX user (iax.conf):
[jdg]
type=friend
secret=xxxxxxx
username=jdg
auth=md5
context=internal
host=dynamic
permit=192.168.0.0/255.255.0.0
callerid="105-JDG" <+689 483 527>
notransfer=yes
canreinvite=yes
allow=all
jitterbuffer=yes
forcejitterbuffer=yes
qualify=200
For that user you would need an "internal" context in extensions.conf.
Then the user can be called with: Dial(IAX2/jdg,60,tT).
Thanks,
