Andrea,

Thanks for mirroring the content.  Could you make sure .xpi files are served 
with a mime-type of "application/x-xpinstall".  For apache isntallations, 
this is typically as simple as adding the following in the appropriate 
section:
AddType application/x-xpinstall xpi

If you need any more help, let us know.
