From warp-9.9 at usa.net Sun May 10 06:41:41 2009 From: warp-9.9 at usa.net (Leif W) Date: Sun, 10 May 2009 09:41:41 -0400 Subject: [MinimizeToTray] Developers and Project are Dead or Alive? Message-ID: <4A06D995.9090106@usa.net> Hello, First of all, I wish to send thanks to the original developer(s). It's been 4 years since any news or releases on the web site. Any idea if or when anyone plans to or will be able to step in and update the .xpi and also continue work on the C++ for the DLL? Eventually changing maxVersion will stop working. FireTray is poised to replace MTT, but as yet FireTray only supports Firefox. MTT is still the best for Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird (a.k.a. Shredder), and Mozilla Sunbird. Does anyone have admin rights to the CVS list, Mailing list, MozDev and the Addons.Mozilla.Org accounts? If the original developer is still lurking around but lost interest, please add (an)other active admin(s) who can respond to XPI maxVersion updates and address C++ bugs in the DLL and willing to continue enhancements. Let others help! Step aside if you wish but at least let others in to help! Please! Otherwise maybe me or someone else will pull a copy of the trunk and rebrand MTT and support it properly, so we can avoid redundant and half-assed extensions like MTT Enhancer and MTT for FF3 and FireTray which merely seek to fill the void but fail to fill the big shoes left behind! ;-) Leif
