[MinimizeToTray] Newbie question about Firefox versions

I reverted to Firefox 2.0.18, to get all the add-ons to function
regardless what the download page says. I tried FF v3.0+ in Windows and
in Linux (Ubuntu). I also contacted the software creator and he advised
me that it will never work in Linux because it depends on some C++
code. So, that killed it for me.
