[MinimizeToTray] MinimizeToTray + MyPhoneExplorer contacts sync

I tried to send this email once before, but I think since it came from 
the wrong email address(not the one I signed up with), it didn't make it 
to the group.  At least, I don't see it in the archives.  If it did get 
sent, and I just can't find it, I apologize for the duplicate message.

I use MinimizeToTray to keep Thunderbird open and checking my email 
regularly, and I recently started using MyPhoneExplorer 
(http://www.fjsoft.at/en/) to sync my Thunderbird contacts w/ my cell 
phone.

Whenever the MyPhoneExplorer sync starts, it runs thunderbird w/ a 
command line switch, which causes thunderbird to un-minimize and get 
sync.  According to the addon developer (from this thread: 
http://www.fjsoft.at/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2614&highlight=thunderbird+minimizetotray 
), it isn't something he can fix, due to the way MinimizeToTray works.  
My question is, is this something that CAN be fixed, either by 
MinimizeToTray, or by collaboration between MinimizeToTray and MPE, or 
is it unavoidable due to the way thunderbird is contacted (via command 
line) to start the sync?
