Message-ID: <47F47416.5050801@comcast.net> Are there any plans underway to provide MinimizeToTray for Thunderbird 2.0.0.12?? I understand it currently only works on earlier versions of Thunderbird. Would be a nice addition to have. Nice job on your Minimize To Tray add-on. But I think it coud be even better. I have a suggestion. MINIMIZE TO THE TRAY ON CLOSE would be much better if when you click the "close" (the X button), it would not minimize Thunderbird the exact millisecond. It would be much better if it would happen once you release the mouse button UP, like the minimize, maximize and close buttons work. ALWAYS MINIMIZE TO TRAY seems to be ok, but "ON CLOSE" could be better. Keep up the good work! :) Dino From light.beyond.horizon at gmail.com Sat Apr 12 04:29:26 2008 From: light.beyond.horizon at gmail.com (Dino) Date: Sat, 12 Apr 2008 13:29:26 +0200 Subject: [MinimizeToTray] a few more things Message-ID: <48009D16.1060505@gmail.com> Hi again! I just noticed there's a problem with the icon in the tray. When I minimize Thunderbird to tray, and then right click on the tray icon, the standard windows taskbar menu pops up. And if you are writing a message at that time like I am right now, you wont be in able to type anything, but you will be in able to select the text. The opened pop up will still be active during that time, until you select something from it, or click on a windows taskbar. So these things I think are very important. Here's a suggestion: you could add a option to make thunderbird load minimized only when windows starts. For those of us who like to have it always on, it could be very useful, instead of having to bring it up every time we start it manually. Please keep me informed! At least, I don't see it in the archives. If it did get sent, and I just can't find it, I apologize for the duplicate message. I use MinimizeToTray to keep Thunderbird open and checking my email regularly, and I recently started using MyPhoneExplorer (http://www.fjsoft.at/en/) to sync my Thunderbird contacts w/ my cell phone. Whenever the MyPhoneExplorer sync starts, it runs thunderbird w/ a command line switch, which causes thunderbird to un-minimize and get sync. According to the addon developer (from this thread: http://www.fjsoft.at/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2614&highlight=thunderbird+minimizetotray ), it isn't something he can fix, due to the way MinimizeToTray works. My question is, is this something that CAN be fixed, either by MinimizeToTray, or by collaboration between MinimizeToTray and MPE, or is it unavoidable due to the way thunderbird is contacted (via command line) to start the sync?
